Got the render done for the LAST Astra Fauna beastie! The finished version will hit Ptreon the end of this week. 🥰

I'm excited to get this one going and trying a new look. I'm also feeling the fatigue of this final push to get the book done. I think I've only had 1 or 2 full days off this year thus far. So I'll be looking to lay low and chill this weekend if possible, so I'm not too tired for the last bit of writing.

The Flickerjaw Snare Shark was the first beast I made for #AstraFauna

Its in the deep sea chapter - the one with Taq (the pinned post character).

It lived so deep, there is no light and hunts similar to an angler fish/snake combo.

Happy Friday! Here's how I created the image of Taq from #astrafauna.

I explored a few ideas for her face shape. Once I had that, I did some color tests.

Time to sculpt! I used zbrush. I knew it was going to just be portrait and a paint over so I didn't stress the details too much.

Then, it was time to paint over in photoshop and fix her terrifying eyes! 😅

There you have it, the process that I use to make most things.
