Orion nebula shot with a canon t6 75-300mm kit lens at 300mm f5.6 0.7sec no tracking and an old Kmart tripod.
1596 exposures shot over a couple nights stacked with DSS with requisite darks, bias, and flats (20 each).

I suppose it’s time for an #introduction. Not much going on here. I’m a native #NewYorker who found his way to an undergrad #Physics degree, thus the handle. I was in Marketing, then had a second career for 18 years as a #HighSchool #PhysicsTeacher, but have found my way back to my first career.

In my free time, I like to point my camera mostly at the sky, dabbling in #Astrophotograohy but also enjoy a good rocket launch. Occasionally I get a lucky shot, which I’ll post here.
