So it's been a year since I got the #NothingPhone1 (received 19/8/2022).

Like:
* Display size, helps my aging eyes
* battery life, not super like #AsusZenfone6, but good enough for my daily use
* battery longevity, still at 97% capacity
* value for money
* frequent software updates
* close to stock Android with nice "Nothing" touches

Dislike:
* mediocre camera
* phone size, still a tad too large

Finally transferred my main device to #AsusZenFone8 - I really like the compact size, nice display, and great performance. What I’ll miss from the #AsusZenFone6 - battery that lasts more than a day, and the fun flip cam. But I suppose that’s the trade off for the size.

The new Nokias by HMD aren't very.... exciting. Sure, having 3 years of OS updates is nice, but why would I want to use an uninteresting phone for so long? I wish my #AsusZenFone6 had another year of updates though, this device is still a joy to use.

Darn it, already have to use the spare screen protector from ~4 months ago. Broke 2 in less than 6 months. Yes, I keep dropping the phone. As much as I like the #AsusZenfone6, it's just too big.

the #FxtecPro1 has a smaller capacity battery compared to the #asuszenfone6 (3200 vs 5000mAh) so we can't compare them directly. However the Pro1 handles a full day's use just fine, if you keep the screen brightness somewhat low (it's a relatively bright display so you don't need it at high brightness setting anyway)

the OS matters though. #SailfishOS gives the best battery life, followed by Android / #LineageOS. However, #UbuntuTouch has problem with battery drain when idle.

Not only does the battery on the #AsusZenfone6 last more than a day, it doesn't fail in extreme cold either, allowing me to take pics on the 2 coldest days last week (close to -20°C). Previously my #Pixel2 would've rebooted twice and still refuse to take a pic.

Installed #Ohsnap phone grip on my #AsusZenfone6. Bigger than I thought (the phone is big to begin with) but doesn't add too much to the thickness. Still getting used to using it.

I'm such a klutz. Just ordered more screen protectors locally. Cost 3-4x more but should arrive 3-4x faster. #asuszenfone6

I'm getting the appeal of fabric gadgets. Although I don't have a use for the power bank anymore now that I have #asuszenfone6 with a 5000 mAh battery. Plus not traveling. Previously with the #Pixel2, I had to recharge it 2-3x a day.

nah, I'm happy with my #AsusZenfone6 and #FxtecPro1. maybe in a year or two when I need to upgrade (by then there'll be other devices to choose from)

I try to buy screen protectors in pairs, coz I'd inadvertently mess up the first application.

Luckily second time's the charm, my #AsusZenfone6 now better protected.

In general I like the camera on #AsusZenfone6 a lot (especially the flip action + wide angle). However I wish macro performed better so I can capture these summer stars in their close-up glory..
