I passed the #ASWB #socialwork licensing exam with a very high score of 140, but I'm no "better" a social worker, or more of a "real" social worker, than test-takers who failed. I simply have a gift for tests. It's not fair that these exams are a barrier for 1000s of great social workers. I became a tutor to help others pass ASWB exams. Since 2017, & full time since 2020, I grew into an expert on the process. I'm #grateful I can offer empowering help to others on their professional journeys.
I am licensed to practice #socialwork in the state of Georgia. Got my #MSW in 2004 at the University of Georgia. (Go Dawgs.) I work as a self-employed, independent tutor for social workers studying to pass #ASWB professional licensing exams. I offer free study groups open to all licensing candidates on Zoom every Sunday evening.
Moving this conversation here for the new @socialwork community. As you may know, the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) recently released data on their exam pass rates, which revealed significant racial disparities.
I just learned that the National Association of Deans and Directors of Social Work Programs (NADD) has requested multiple meetings with the new ED of #ASWB and has received no response. Really ASWB? You won’t even talk to us now?
