"The monitoring program focused on adults for several reasons," Robinson said. "Asymptomatic infections are more common in young adults, asymptomatic individuals would still spread the virus and the isolation of symptomatic individuals alone wasn't enough to flatten the curve of COVID infections."

elevated cell turnover and in patients | biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/20 “Asymptomatic patients had elevated levels of immune-derived cfDNA but did not show evidence of or damage. Surprisingly, these patients showed elevated levels of vascular endothelial cell and erythroblast cfDNA, suggesting that sub-clinical vascular and erythrocyte turnover are universal features of COVID19, independent of disease .

" Testing.

If you get a negative…

False negatives at the beginning of infection are very common, thanks to the virus mutating. In a recent study, & tests only agreed 47-58% of the time. If they did agree, there was a 1-8 day delay between a PCR turning positive & an antigen test turning positive.

The higher we are in a wave, the more skeptical you should be of a negative result. There are 2 things you can do to help reduce false negatives

Swab throat & salvia. These are positive days before the nose.

Repeat testing. 2 tests within 48 hours catch 92% of cases & 39% of cases. 3 tests 48 hours apart detected 94% of symptomatic & 57% of asymptomatic patients.

If you get a positive…
Positives are positives. You’re infectious.

The faintness of a line provides clues, though:

Very bold line= you’re very contagious.

Barely see the line= you’re at the beginning or the end of your infection window."

Oh no! I’m so sorry. This is my worst nightmare & the reason I lied & crossed state borders multiple times to get

Not b/c it’s sterilizing, but b/c has to transmit from original 10-15 min to 15-30 seconds. Novavax for me has upped my

Having had this beast 2x what I will say is zinc picconolate & mk-7 are the most important supplements. Vitamin A for mucous membranes but you need to be careful to not to go over RDA & if you smoke, then it’s not good to take.. but who still smokes in 2023😂 Also 1 Brazil nut every other day for selenium (more can be toxic) and a bit of seaweed for iodine; both support thyroid. And a
good refrigerated probiotic is a must. It destroys my microbiome every time. Next time use a nasal spray with the mask. Flo-Travel is my fave. And gargle AM & PM with hydrogen peroxide 1 part & 2 part water. You might also want to add cayenne pepper to your diet. It’s good for arteries & ofcourse turmeric for inflammation.

Also complete rest & don’t exercise for at least 3 months altho I usually wait 12-15 months which is extreme but I’m also lazy & not looking for reasons to exercise.

Again, terribly sorry this happened to you☹️😠It’s really difficult NOT to catch when you’re surrounded by people who are willing to harbor & spread a virus & living life like they’re in a Studio54 alternate universe in their minds instead of treating it like the that it is

A common genetic variant — present in about 10% of the population with European ancestry — is associated with asymptomatic Covid-19.

The immune system gene codes for human leukocyte antigen, or HLA. People with a single copy of this variant, called HLA-B*15:01, were twice as likely to be asymptomatic when infected with SARS-CoV-2. People with two copies were eight times more likely not to develop symptoms. The variant seems to encourage T cell cross-immunity with seasonal cold viruses.

Reconstruction of SARS-CoV-2 outbreaks in a primary school using epidemiological and genomic data - PubMed pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/373797 “We found no difference in positivity between and and children were not more often compared to adults. Both models for outbreak reconstruction revealed that transmission occurred mainly within the environment.”

"Participants who were most symptomatic did not emit more virus than participants who manifested fewer symptoms. For example, participant 17 in the high symptom score group emitted relatively minimal virus, whereas asymptomatic participant 7 emitted large amounts of virus, including viable virus in mask on several days."

In mid-May, reported to detection of avian A(H5) virus in a at a farm in where poultry was infected with HPAI viruses. Another detection was reported in a 2nd individual performing operations on farm. Both detections were later confirmed by additional testing as . Both cases were & detected as part of an ongoing enhanced surveillance study of asymptomatic workers exposed to poultry infected with avian influenza.''

patients also infected a higher proportion of contacts than ones (44.2% vs. 36.4%).

The authors speculate that 0-9y/os being more often unvaccinated & requiring more frequent interactions at home, was the reason why they were so infectious.

@djruuh

On a recent visit to my primary care doctor I was wearing a mask (as I usually do in most public indoor spaces). My doc opened the door maskless, stopped & pulled out a mask asking me if I was sick or had Covid. I said no, that I feel more comfortable in my mask cuz I don’t like breathing other people’s air. She stepped in for our visit putting her mask back in her lab coat pocket!

Question: What happened to whole asymptomatic Covid thing?

my SO forced to decline an invite to a party my SIL wants to have for my MIL

they’re aware we traveled recently yet he was forced to say my immunity is low & i’m constant sick🙄

Getting to NJ➡️NYC more dangerous than flying at this point & nobody gets it that planes have that’s FAR safer than any ground transport if you don’t have your own car

My immunity is actually great, but would like it to remain that way which is why i treat it as

tho is problematic..
