There is a mostly forgotten package called on which I learned and have never stopped using. I remain a fan, continuing to use it very productively to oversee some heavy multicore number crunching. A pipeline of requests being met with maybe-deferred results from dispatched jobs. Sixteen CPU cores, baby.

Anyhow, @glyph and @itamarst I just wanted to show my appreciation for the work you guys did bringing us this outstanding framework over a decade ago.

[I am fortunate that my schedule is asynchronous, and I much appreciate the opportunities it presents - BUT recognise that I can't be 'greedy' / 'selfish', remembering any high priority work commitments during 'standard hours' MUST be respected]

I'm working with a globally distributed team and trying to shift our culture from -meetings as the means to disseminate information to an -meeting process.

I've started us on a path to a -first process but I'm finding people are not actually reading the docs without the urgency of a meeting to drive them.

What approaches have you found successful to help guide that kind of culture shift in a company/organization?

Preventing Warnock’s Dilemma in Google Docs

I recently learned that Google Docs supports approvals on documents, which help to ensure that people read and react to your request for feedback to avoid Warnock's Dilemma.

After 132 commits and 6 reviewers, github.com/mozilla/uniffi-rs/p is finally merged \o/.

UniFFI can generate bindings for Rust async functions/methods to Python, Swift and Kotlin, with native async runtimes (resp. `asyncio`, `Task` and `suspend`).

That’s really exciting! Rust `Future` being driven by a foreign language async runtime, that’s pure fun.
