Spent some time testing different power setups for my off an prototype ITX adapter board.

In this embodiment, I’ve got the +5vsb 3.0A running via a Pololu 2808 module to power the system and utilise any PC case momentary switch.

Using a DC jack input for power on the is simpler because less soldering required but if the PC case already has an ATX or SFF supply then the +5V standby is handy.

Of course, if you had the desire you could build a small latching circuit on the solderable breadboard part of the ATLANTIS board and utilise all voltage outputs from the breakout area for fans, mood lighting etc.
