Did you know that you can observe mirages also in moderate latitudes? This picture shows the alpine panorama seen from the Northern #BlackForest on a winter day in 2003. The silhouettes of the alpine mountains (in about 150 km distance) are distorted by mirages caused inversion weather conditions.
