Oh yes, we don't dispute the fact that is not for even every month purchases.

Its a base layer. Agree 100% that an into something else is important for the everyday, week, every month .

Until other algorithms are mathematically proven to not be gameable (we think they can be) is the best way forward.

Heat generation is not exclusively bad and that it's mostly renewables is exciting to us. Agree on layering though. That + UX boost.

Having said that ***might*** be okay for a second-layer coin, that can with bitcoin??? That is, for a more liquid-layer currency, we are not lightning fans, as you might have guessed.

A concern for all systems that are large, fiat takes the cake. Bitcoin has is designed to resist centralisation.

Fee aren't high. Especially if we think of bitcoin for storing value over years to decades.

So maybe every ten years or so one will need to (read:convert) bitcoin to something with greater . That space is evolving. Some say LTC, BSH, Zcash even Monero. These more liquid layers will ultimately be what is used day-to-day.

Some may keep tabs for curiosity.

We see things as a rollercoaster ride, or like dancing in a puddle, the more ppl dancing in the puddle the more fun it will be and the more droplets everyone will be kicking up over each other and the higher the puddle to dance in.

Having said that, is going to be the in the monetary stack. We're looking to determine what will be the layerTwo currency (hint, needs to be able to from BTC into it).

What we *will* say is that bitcoin is not a payments network.

We anticipate that it will operate like a "" account. Every few years a person may need to funds from to another currency that indeed does use some techniques to limit the mining pool and do some other neat stuff for fast, frequent payments.

But it will still be . It will just do some fancy stuff to limit the . Yes, it out there.

or into a different crypto every few years, if needed?

We ask because we learned of a crypto that reduces the randomly by assigning miners with an identity/reputation. Sounds very promising, and might allow a more liquid experience. Bitcoin = layer one powered by underfloor heaters in homes. This other crypto handled by enthusiasts, shops etc. With a very solid internet connection/backup that cannot be cut w/o economic damage.

Its a thought.

Thanks, for bringing us to .

It introduces an interesting idea, should all miners automatically be allowed to mine or could the mining pool be reduced (ideally programmatically but this means some identification)?

Duniter sounds like something great for Layer2, where you want a bit more accountability, a for example must be identified/verified.

We think something like Duniter might compliment . Can one from bitcoin into it?

This is really the only part of that we haven't been able to resolve yet.

If every two years you can funds out of and into another crypto like Litecoin then you get 500 million people.

But you would need to live off for two years and frankly we are not confident enough of Litecoin to handle that securely… yet…

Theres in and but last we checked, AtomicSwaps are still in the early days of development.

Hmm…

Agree. , sadly.

can handle to some extent, although there doesn't seem to be enough -based systems in the to date. Also there does need to be a way to move accounts and followers from one to another.

Seems like an -like problem but we're no expert.

Okay.

Being able to move between sounds like a plus problem - is that how they are dealing with it?

They are probably doing things smarter that anything we can think of, though.
