Does anyone with #ADHD who is taking #atomoxetine know why that medicine alters taste of everything you eat? I feel disgusted when I take something with it, whether it's water, juice, a sandwich, a yogurt, and so on. How do you deal with that?

In the past two months I've had three medication changes.
I've gone from #Adderall XR for my #ADHD to #Strattera / #Atomoxetine which has made my #insomnia worse and isn't providing as much benefit as Adderall did (but the Adderall was making me bitchy and, since I didn't take it on weekends, worthless on weekends where I'd just sleep). It also makes me extremely constipated.
I've switched from #medroxyprogesterone to just #progesterone which seemed to improve my mood but made me a bit more emotional.
Then I just switched from oral #estradiol to once weekly injections.

I feel like crap. My emotions are a garbage fire on a roller coaster, I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep (I'm not sure if I'm getting to REM when I am asleep), I get so sleepy during the day that it effects my ability to do my job. My stomach hurts and I've gained about 10 pounds.
Also seasonal allergies so my throat hurts from all the drainage.

That's it. I just wanted to rant to Internet strangers.

I'm on vacation next week which I desperately need. We aren't traveling or doing anything special. My birthday and my wife's birthday are both next week.
We don't travel because there is still a pandemic and she's high risk.

@holly well, I'm still waiting for insurance approval. I also had to switch doctors, so it's taking extra time.
I've also tried #Wellbutrin in the past.
Both Wellbutrin and #Adderall were the extended release variety and both severely effected my mood. They turned me into a snarky bitch prone to angry outbursts and exacerbated my #insomnia. And, while I am naturally a snarky bitch, I am generally very polite about it. I don't need a rage pill.
After I actually get to try #Strattera / #Atomoxetine for a while, I'll post an update.
I'm still on 15 mg of AdderalL XR right now which is too low of a dose to really be therapeutic for me. I've already talked to my boss about my lack of productivity until we get this sorted and he understands.

Trying to switch #ADHD meds sucks. I haven't been very productive for the last two weeks.
Switching from #Adderall due to the side-effects of a daily stimulant.
Trying #Strattera as soon as insurance approves it.
Anybody have any experience with #Atomoxetine / Strattera?

Have any #ADHD people here been on #atomoxetine? My friend is considering it... if so, how would you compare it to stimulant therapy like #adderall?
