Here is a freshly finished song to celebrate my first post on Mastodon. This is essentially a combination of Neo-Riemannian voice leading and hyperglitch sound design.

I try to create a mysterious, cosmic mood in most of my music and I've found that Neo-Riemannian chord progressions do that quite well. They are very similar to the progressions I write by just jamming on my keyboard until I like the mood but it is nice to have a more specific process for writing them now. I do take liberties however to get the mood that I want.

Hyperglitch is a genre that I have been moving toward for a long time. It follows the trajectory of IDM and Breakcore but continues further along the path. I recently joined the Glitch.Cool discord server to talk about techniques and tools, which I highly recommend if you want to learn more. They have a great community.

I had to repeat the mantra "Finished is better than perfect." to get this song done. I struggle toward the end of the song-making process and nearly gave up on this one. Enjoy.
