@siracusa @caseyliss FWIW, I have a brand new Synology DS723+ and WD RED's that I got during the prime day sale. Storage Manager doesn't seem to be complaining yet about them! I did go with Synology RAM and NVMe cache drive though. It's been up for about 3 days so far. #atpfm
Seems to be a controversial opinion lately among #atpfm but I’m a left hand phone user, and therefore left pocket, because phones were always held in the left hand. How else would you dial your phone?
@dimillian @IceCubesApp
Could this be of any interest to @marcoarment or @caseyliss ? Real cool and interesting write up on SwiftUI. I’m loving the @IceCubesApp so far (though I admittedly do miss the cutsie elephant branding the mastodon apps like Ivory etc have 🐘)
#SwiftUI #mastodon #atpfm
It took me a bit to find it in my photo library, but this was the Valentine’s Day Reservations phone number for the White Castle in Louisville, KY in 2013.
My favorite part is that they have at least 7 extensions. 😳
Of course, this is for the benefit of @caseyliss , @marcoarment , and @siracusa
@birchtree great article! I’m curious what you think about the privacy concerns. The guys on #atpfm have discussed Rewind a few times, and it sounds like the devs already walked back their cloud transcription due to feedback about privacy. I’d love to have something like this, but I don’t think I’d trust the devs not to change their privacy policy in the future (when they inevitably take VC 💰)
Between finally catching up on #atpfm to their Mastodon discussions, and the Twitter API going down... I finally pulled the plug. Here I am!
Listening to #atpfm and @caseyliss was talking about Xfinity Wifi. The biggest issue I see around that is not that other Xfinity customers can impact your own service, it's that <Insert Random TV or IoT Manufacturer> can give Xfinity a bunch of money to let all their devices online for reporting. All of a sudden that TV that is "never connected to the internet" is now always connected and you don't know about it.
Listened to the #atpfm ending theme for the first time in years hoping Mastodon had been awkwardly wedged in.
Was disappointed.
I wonder whether @songadaymann will attempt something.
Just listening to latest #atpfm @marcoarment @siracusa @caseyliss and I’ve pretty much made the jump from Twitter to Mastodon. I’m not really passionate about it, but Musk is a doofus, so why give him my attention.
Quite the transformation about Mastodon from the #atpfm hosts. Glad to see the enthusiasm. I do think encouraging less geeky people is needed to avoid a migration back to Twitter (assuming that place is forced to change for the better).
@marcoshuerta Some interesting projects there! The #atpfm search engine and the GPX->CSV library look fun to me.
I’m so tired of tired old nerds shitting on new things that are still evolving. Case-in-point the #atpfm folks’s latest take on mastodon.
As a side note if you ever want to hear what group-think sounds like listen to these fools.
