#ATUM, the new album from #SmashingPumpkins is available now!

I finally got around to listening to 2 parts of #SmashingPumpkins latest album #Atum, a 'rock opera' and it's pretty sketchy.

The 'rock opera' thing is a tip off that it's more likely to be self-indulgent, but that's fine. The bigger issue is that no melodies stood out and aside from a couple of grooves, the music was gone from my mind as soon as the music ended.

I'll give it a chance, considering their overall catalog is very good, but I'm not holding my breath.

Allora, sono usciti due terzi di #ATUM degli #SmashingPumpkins e quindi è nettamente il #DiscoDelGiorno a prescindere. Mi metto ora all'ascolto e spero non deluda l'hype.

Act One of the new #SmashingPumpkins album #Atum sounds like a very polished, extended #Eurovision audition.

Which is fine, it's a concept album, though I'm hoping the next couple of acts (to be release in 2023) will have a bit more kick to them.
