With @lzsl today I'm helping Dougald Hine & out by opening space to work on a question based on his new book “At Work In The Ruins” - whoever comes is the right people but there are a few on the guest list that I’m particularly excited about spending the afternoon with.

The theme is “What do infrastructures of care look like in a world beyond modernity?” which I’m translating in my head to “How are we going to look after each other after the end of the world (as we know it)?”

We’ve got people from the arts, health care and faith groups coming together and I hope it will be a good prototype for other conversations for other parts of society that need to think about the issues in the book.

As it’s a private group, among friends of friends, it will be interesting to me to see how we negotiate the tension between openness and discretion: how do you get the benefits of open conversation and reporting, while respecting privacy? We shall see!
