Very excited that Chris Burke's "Mandible Judy" spinoff, "Under Dead Water", of which I voice the narrator and one of the leads, was selected as a Platinum selection for HEAR Now: The Audio Fiction and Arts Festival!

This is the second time I have been on a Platinum project, since #DraculaRadioPlay in 2018. It's nice to be back, especially with another horror project!

A stunning morning spent by the brown waters of the Wambuul Macquarie River yesterday recording stories about the future of the regions from some of the newer residents of Dubbo. Different perspectives from the 13 other stories recorded so far, which has made this aspect of my Regional Futures project so interesting and important. One of my takeaways from this morning’s three conversations is climate change is really only being discussed by the privileged despite the greatest impacts being on those simply trying to put a roof over their head and food on the table. That doesn’t seem like an equitable future. Re-listening to them today as I edit. Powerful stories.

If we want to do something that pushes the boundaries of our thinking and work, it’s also necessary...The name of my project is Vaticinor— in Latin, meaning to augur or prophesy an outcome by observing natural signs. I must've completely missed this #RedNose #COVID relief effort by a lot of former #DoctorWho actors and writers: Doctor Who: LOCKDOWN

It has quite some lovely (yet sometimes heartwrenching) stories set after previous episodes, such as what happened to Mme de #Pompadour after #TheGirlInTheFireplace (https://youtu.be/seNAqQ4gzn0), #ArthurDarville recording a video diary to his character's adopted son as #RoryWilliams (with an off-camera cameo by #KarenGillan as #AmyPond)), or #CaitlinBlackwood taking on the role of young #AmeliaPond again as she talks about her best friend, the Raggedy Doctor, which could just as well have been called "Except for Rory".
