What tools do people use to keep track of the websites their team is responsible for?

We have quite a collection of sites and I want to ensure we

* know what we have
* keep them all up to date
* know how to rebuild everything
* remove unused assets

We have all source code and build pipelines but there are gaps

I'd prefer a tool that can pull in DNS records and verify website responses - rather than a plain spreadsheet approach if possible.

Well, who'd have predicted that (answer: pretty much everyone):

The #Tories look likely not to bring froward promised reforms in the regulation of the #audit sector & associated #corporategovernance rules;

apparently there is 'no political will' for reform, despite the shredded reputation of the UK Big Four (and some of the smaller auditors) after a string of scandals, mistakes & wilful deception here & abroad.

Of course, the #accountants will be claiming that voluntary measures are better.

I am a big believer in socialising our software process. Building a conversational network, watching over behaviors that indicate we do what we intend and all that. At time of #audit though, socialising it is a part, but documenting is another.

Socialising processes allows for organic change. Documenting is a snapshot in time. Now I am thinking how to best create those snapshots so that it would show what it should without being a maintenance burden.

Wenn es handwerklich aber gut gemacht ist, dann würde ich Threema in der Messenger-Matrix wieder empfehlen - die Empfehlung hatte ich aufgrund der fehlenden Analyse des neuen Protokolls zurückgezogen.
