Today we are paying tribute to Audre Lorde, a radical feminist, writer and civil rights activist.
Audre Lorde is a pioneer of intersectional feminism and she was a critic of Second-Wave feminism. As a person with a multi-layered identity she was able to gain insights into the way race, class and gender intersect in life and society.
Audre Lorde can be seen as an early intersectional feminist as she always presented herself as “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet”.
