Today's experiment with Bing Image Generator (DALL-e)
"An agricultural show in the English Countryside, during the livestock judging. Amid the parade of cattle one of the farmers is leading an aurochs (Bos primigenius), which is half as tall again as the other beast"

Not quite what I was expecting, but a fair attempt. I don't think it knows what people wear during judging at a show. Perhaps 6/10?

Pretty sure this is from an #aurochs, but happy to have confirmation. Spent the morning in #Neath museum stores - a wonderland of materials that wants an in-depth collections review. Lots of relocations have meant details are lost and numbers no longer make sense. Hoping to help out - short term, keen to confirm if this is what I think it is (no numbers, no context for this - this is it for the archive).

Love the #StandingStoneSunday idea. Bit of a cheat (haven’t walked to a SS shop nice the summer)but May I recommend #Carcasonne Hunters and Gatherings for people who really really want #menhirs #mammoths and #aurochs in a board game.

Today we return to the #Nordic countries, specifically to the #Nationalmuseet in #Copenhagen 🇩🇰 to meet the #aurochs (Bos primigenius), the #extinct wild ancestor of modern #cattle. This #bull lived and died over 10,000 years ago in #Vig, on the #Danish island of #Sjaelland, but unlike many #IceAge #megafauna, it survived until surprisingly recently. In #Denmark, it persisted in #Jutland until around 2000 years ago; the last aurochs died in #Poland only in 1627.
