Today is Aussie Comic Book Day and I want to share some of my personal favourites (in a totally unprepared, unscientific and improvised way).

Being a librarian... I can't help but put them in a list divided into Junior, Young Adult and Adult.

I'm sure these comics were the reason George Miller hired him.

It's always worth remembering that, in Australia, comic books have been used for decades now as an educational tool. These wonderful comic books, known as the Australian Children's Pictorial Studies, were made by creators such as Monty Wedd and Arthur Hudson. They were first published in the 1950s and 1960s and are still in use today.

I can remembering reading them when I was at primary school in the 1970s. (shout out to the best primary school ever, South Down Primary School in Elizabeth Downs, SA)
