Possum news: Didn't see Chewie until late in the day when I saw her tail hanging down. She's now enjoyed some carrot and apple and is contemplating the nights adventures.

A happy brushtail enjoying a pear. It's been a really hot day, so I'd say the juicy pear hit the spot. She is now out on possum business, but sure she will be back in her tray by morning.

Got home after dark and Chewie the brushtail was already in the tree eating some berries. She came down to grab some apple before departing again on possum business for the night.

PS I've called her Chewie because her right ear has a chunk chewed out of it.

Well look what I found behind the branches. Looks like Chewie the brushtail has managed to take over the ringtails spot.

Better get some apple ready for tea.

@Littleflick Well maybe I trusted that ringtail too much. Got home from our holiday and found that ringtail in tray 1 had decided to do some renovating. I'll leave it for tonight but will have to tidy it up tomorrow evening. Should have insisted that the brushtail was in charge. 🤣😊

Tonight's possums. The usual airbnb possum with the torn right ear was very happy to eat some carrots. The other one appeared at dusk & isn't into Carrots. It is into apples so it got some apple. Not as tame as our boarder. It took the apple from my hand but then rushed up the tree.

Been a bit busy lately, been on holidays but still looking out for our possum friends. Today we had a big family breakfast on our deck after the Dawn Service so the activity kept the ringtail away. The brushtail was there when we got back and enjoyed some fruit and then a carrot tonight.

Brushtail possums fed. One was our boarder up in the veranda eaves platform - she has a chewed right ear. The boy was in the tree and jumped on the rail when he saw apple was available. Out and about now.

Both very gentle possums. Well mannered.

Double happy tonight. Gave our guest a baby carrot tonight then I looked up and saw a second friend on the roof. Both enjoyed crunchy carrots and then some apple. Now off on possum business.

Was a little late going out to feed and my friend had already left. Was not far away however because I put some pear on the rail and within a couple of minutes she was there. Must have been just in the tree. Happy now after some pear.

Night time snacks distributed. She enjoyed pear and apple tonight. Bought a big bag of imperfect pears on the weekend. She thinks they are pretty good. Sharing the spot with the ringtail. Both seem happy. Off doing possum stuff now. ☺️

Some strange things going on tonight. This morning mother and baby brushtail were in one home, and a ringtail was in the other.

During the day the mother brushtail moved homes and I had assumed they had done a swap.

So tight I go to feed the mother brushtail some apple but when I have a closer look I can see a small possum at the back. It was the ringtail NOT the baby brushtail.

By the time I get more apple all three are there. 2 brushtails and a ringtail. Normally the ringtales both when their space is invaded but no worries tonight.

Well 2 brushtail possums mother and baby are happy for some apple. Then a third brushtail showed up as well.

Last night had the 2 brushies plus a family group of 3 ringtails in the tree. ☺️
