MORNING OF THE EARTH (’72): Essentially a feature-length music video, this South Pacific surfing film stands out for its incredible soundtrack (they really picked some terrific tunes) and great photography. And more than most other films made with this aim, this very effectively captures a mood and a moment. Memorable.

So just discovered this on Amazon prime.

Occupation: rainfall

Aussie sci fi, action heavy alien invasion type thing, apparently even has RAAF f18s in it but it's 4.7 on IMDb and reviews are meh, I'm still watching it gotta support the industry esp when it comes to sci fi.

I'll do anything to encourage more being made

Besides it got some recognisable faces of actors I've enjoyed in the past

Temuera Morrison, Ken Jeong, Jason Isaacs, Vince Colosimo

But given that even Bruce Willis has been making really bad sci-fi films the last few year my expectations are pretty
low.

And the Criterion Channel had three versions of The Killers, based on a Hemingway story (which I have not read). Years from left to right: 1964, 1946 and 1956. I definitely enjoyed the 1964 version the most. If you ever feel like a 1960s movie, this has it all.
