Anyway, my first in person World Cup match was a blast*. Watching Katie McCabe play for Ireland against Australia was like watching Sam Kerr playing for Chelsea against Arsenal. Like “I love you but please don’t be too good tonight”
It was a good night for the host nations.

8 points from two games is a decent return.
Ireland absolutely took the Australian pack apart in the second after some worrying moments, particularly in the scrum, in the first.
Rory Telfer's yellow (maybe red, but shouldnt be) and Ruadhan Quinn's injury at the end are a bit of a worry.
