Australia are too woke and without rigour without Justin Langer, and that's why they lost the T20WC. They are obsessed with analytics and bowler workloads when they comfortably beat a visiting test team 2-0. Cricket is terrible to watch when one team is much better than the other. Perth doesn't deserve a test match because not enough people come to watch the boring game.

These and other opinions are given voice by those who are ostensibly fans of the game and the team. But they are strangely also the subject of several articles, and talkback sessions, and panel shows, and podcasts on a select range of mainstream media outlets. I wonder which is the chicken and which the egg?
