I drew this portrait of Philip K. Dick a few years ago. I'm reading A SCANNER DARKLY now, and it is by turns sad, funny, and, in some ways, as relevant as ever. Most of all, though, I marvel at how clearly PKD writes scenes of confusion. The most deranged situations and experiences are conveyed with lucidity.
