Being on this part of the spectrum is often odd. I'm not socially competent enough for neurotypical folk, but I'm not autistic enough either....this makes communicating my needs and having them taken seriously incredibly difficult. I don't blame anyone though how can someone know how a brain functions or how something feels if they've never experienced it.I'm definitely guilty of this which makes me look so unempathetic
The concept of the multidimensional #AutismSpace really resonates with me. It recognizes that autism can manifest in a wide range of ways and can intersect with other identities. Let's move away from the unidimensional #AutismSpectrum and embrace the diversity of the autism community #ActuallyAutistic

The term #AutismSpectrum doesn't do justice to the complexity and individuality of each person's experience with autism. It suggests that there is a linear progression and individuals can be easily placed into a hierarchy based on their abilities. Let's instead recognize the multidimensionality and individuality of each person's experience with autism and call it the multidimensional #AutismSpace. #AutismAwareness
