@autisticbookclub @actuallyautistic I agree that we all have to be advocates, either for ourselves or others. suggests one does it more broadly or perhaps professionally? Those certainly do exist, and they are often lawyers.

Most people I might consider would be the first to say there are none, thst we’re constantly learning, and anyone who would claim it probably isn’t and has an agenda.

What’s the context of discussion around these terms/hashtags?

Personally, I feel uncomfortable when people refer to me as an 'advocate'...

Anyone who has been identifying as Autistic for longer than a year, sometimes earlier, is an 'Autism Expert'; it usually becomes a special interest.
