I'm scared of overcommitting and under-delivering. It goes against my sense of personal integrity and sticking to my word. I much prefer slightly under-committing and a bit of over-delivering. But I feel like most of the NTs around me overcommit/underdeliver regularly without an issue & see my hesitancy to do the same as negative. đŸ˜Ŧ

Once again, I forget where I heard it but it totally stuck with me: someone once mentioned we're like the canaries in the mine for the . If the employees don't thrive, likely your NT's could be doing/feeling better too!

When you're not sure what norm is being followed (if there is one at all) - whether your lab coats are ordered by the letter of your first or last name it's convenient that mine are the same letter for both 😅

Not knowing for sure that it'll be all ok just absolutely messes me up as an person. It preoccupies my brain, it's hard to shake when I'm not at work & it's a constant source of anxiety. Of course my tolerance for unresolved things is also lowered when I don't sleep well... ☚ī¸

Just about the only job I ever had that never required time out for burnout was private security guard. Sometimes you're doing next to nothing because you're being paid just to be a "visible deterrent" and observer, other times you're running around for 57 minutes of every hour punching time clocks. (and 3 minutes writing your report, bit by bit.) It's a weird job.
