@actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics I've just written an email explaining all of that to my family members. I think some of the people in the list did not even know that I'm on the spectrum. I also had to translate all of that to French. I had no clue how to translate "stimming" to French. It is "auto-stimulation." It makes sense, but until you know the right term, you're in the dark.

@actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics There's a little more to my story. When I arrived at my destination yesterday, I was also walk-dancing. Not fully dancing but my body was moving in rhythm to the beat.

Then I realized that I was embodying *to other people* the notion of someone "marching to the beat of his own drum."

Then I started laughing out loud. Then I realized how this laughter must have looked to other people. And I laughed even more.
