How do my comrades feel about going thru the airport? Sensory hell? Too many moving parts? A fun & exciting part of your special interest?

In my latest blog post I cover the venerable Hanoi 1988 Sao Vang in . Without a doubt the best Pho I’ve had in Europe, the restaurant is also a great setting for foodie diners to unwind and enjoy.

Had a lovely lunch today with my partner at Han Lim in thanks to the wonderful recommendation of @JoBlakely (thank you πŸ’™)

Not only was the food delicious, delicate, and expertly done, the restaurant is a fantastic space for foodies, being quiet, dimly lit, and ample space being given between tables. The owner and his family are exceedingly gracious, courteous, and friendly and help round off the experience.

We had the traditional veggie pancake, their house chicken (sautΓ©ed, not deep fried) in garlic, and Bulgogi.

Do my comrades enjoy Pho? Got to enjoy the best in at Hanoi 1988 Sao Vang in . They don’t offer you typical Vietnamese pho take away, but truly authentic Northern Vietnamese takes on the beloved dish.

For those in NC!

RT @Jason_epi@twitter.com

@AutisticCoach_@twitter.com Awesome! When you're in Greensboro, NC highly recommend Pho Hien Vuong and Seoul Garden, both have low lighting and easy ordering, with a few booths toward the edges that allow for a quiet lunch or dinner even if there's a busy rush. And lunch specials every day. Closed Monday.

For my comrades who travel on airplanes & find the airport overstimulating & stressful - don’t have to travel this way! Most airlines will walk you thru check-in, security, passports, all the way to the gate, You just need to book ahead of time.

@actuallyautistic Oh, since people will be travelling again in a few days, just so you know... you can skip security lines in the majority of airports by going to the family/express type entrance part, and stating 'i'm autistic, can i use the family line please'.

Then, when you get to your gate, you can go to the gate agent and state "I'm autistic, can I board before everyone else please".

The answer will be yes in most cases, or a "oh uh, er, are you okay to fly?" in some cases (the answer you give is "yes, i just struggle with crowds and queues").

They will *not* demand medical proof. And your journey will be vastly improved.

I have also successfully used this tactic at the checkin desk to get last minute seat relocations on full flights to ensure no-one would be seated next to me.

YMMV with the little people carrier folk if you find the actual airport overwhelming. I was told "we have people with disabilities to attend to" when I asked for a ride once when very very overwhelmed.

Also, a lot of airlines have a one-fare-only policy, so if you have a medical diagnosis, you can fly your emotional support human for free in a lot of cases!
