I might be an over idealistic idiot ("might" lol) who's only been here a month, but it's been a very long time since I've felt that relaxed and safe posting shit online.

The platform has not hidden scheme behind my back, I don't feel the need to brace before reading replies...

And after a while, it'll all go into oblivion !

I wonder how many have setup the automatic post deletion. I do because of server load and also because I have been doing that manually on twitter as well. I change my mind and sometimes might regret what I posted 🤣 . So yeah, I'm doing that.

I'm considering enabling automatic post deletion for 1, 3, or 6 months for everything except bookmarks, pinned posts, and direct messages just to help with long term storage needs.

Should we consider content here to be ephemeral?

I feared I'll lose something when I enable the automatic post deletion. I couldn't do it before.

I just went over my own account and noticed that there are more posts I'd rather see gone than public forever.

Now all my posts are removed after one year.

If you want to do it yourself, go to preferences → automated post deletion.
