Random thing: I’m pretty good with cars. If you have a minor car issue, I can probably talk you through fixing it yourself, or steer you towards resources for fixing it. Over my adult life, I’ve saved myself tens of thousands of dollars by doing almost all of it all myself.

@slandi: Well, after having thought it over most of the night and getting a restless sleep and then again thinking about it today on my to work, I realised I gave up a little too easily, so today on my way home I stopped at a hardware store and bought an air-powered ratchet and some special penetrating oil and got to work and was able to loosen the stubborn bolts, so I'll be able to change my brakes myself and save me lots of money.
