#auxio it's starting to making problems in my android, I don't know what's the reason but It can't add new songs, the .flac It don't show up... I do re-scan but nothing happens.
So, since I get mpv-android I use this. If exists any music app ultra minimalist I am all ears

@kirschner #AntennaPod for Podcasts, #Fedilab for Mastodon and Fediverse, #Transistor for my daily #Dlf radio needs, #Aegis for #2FA, the recent version of #AnkiDroid for learning via flash cards, #SimpleGalleryPro for media management. #Auxio as a simple yet nice looking audio player. #OrganicMaps as an simple alternative to the mighty #OsmAnd. #NewPipe for my video streaming needs (even though #LibreTube is a very fine alternative when it exclusively comes to #YouTube), #Quillpad for taking notes, #KeePassDX as password manager. #DAVx5 to get stuff synchronized, #FairEmail as email client. #Feeder for my RSS feed needs. And finally the still new #FDroidBasic client allowing automatic updates of installed apps.
Recently tried out #SimpleX messenger and like it quite a bit so far. @fdroid

Forgot to mention that you remember I found #Auxio and was super excited. A nice #opensource, #fdroid hosted, #MaterialYou local music player to act as a backup for #Musicolet.
The developer is at the forefront of the movement whereby the ARTISTS tag supersedes the ARTIST tag and subsequently that fucks with my entire scrobbling setup.
Sadly it means I'm back to looking for a backup #mp3 player.
It's crazy to me that such a fundamental decision isn't an option, but I'm not a developer.

I was close to choosing #symphony but I hated the icon. Ultimately, I wanted something free and open source as my backup and actively developed. The #auxio repository looked active and I liked the design. That said, I quite liked what symphony did with the genres tab. Though it didn't truncate "contemporary folk" and so that was a minor issue. #Shuttle and then #S2 has been a stalwart. It's missing the #materialyou accents though. Anyway, welcome Auxio to the family.

People know how I think #PowerAmp is a terrible app. I mean a music player that resets the queue whenever the app loses focus, can't be anything but terrible. Anyway, that led to me making #Musicolet my primary music app. My only issues with it are that there's a second app needed for chromecast and that it could do with some #materialdesign. Anyway, I've been looking for a new secondary app and ended up settling on #Auxio. #Shuttle 2 remains the tertiary music app.

I'm very much enjoying my upgraded iPod Classic now that I've fixed it (again!) but also want to give a shoutout to #Auxio.
I listen to music everywhere, including at the gym where I use my Android phone. At 4.7MB Auxio is the epitome of a small, useful, beautifully put-together FLOSS music app. Love it.

It's aviable in F-Droid: https://www.f-droid.org/en/packages/org.oxycblt.auxio/
