👆 My guess is that #AverageVoters are a bit left-of-centre but aren't "socialists".
"Too far to be popular" applies to both left and right, IMO.
👆 Partly - did the MSM employ 'out' #MarxistLeninist Seumas Milne as Corbyn's #SpAd, thereby painting a 'commie' target onto Corbyn's back for the right-wing media to exploit? No. They just exploited it. You could see the #Vanguardist hidden agenda from the #International_Space_Station.
I canvassed many #AverageVoters and that's what scared the s**t out of them.

#Corbyn scared off #AverageVoters more than other, more centrist, #LOTOs.
It explains why Blair (whatever you think of him/Iraq) won 3 domestic elections; and why Starmer's in with a shout.
"Don't scare off #AverageVoters!!"
👆 My point is that it's what #AverageVoters see & think when they hear/see the word that matters.
👆 That's all achievable without the S-Word...I don't understand why folks think it isn't.
There's more to leftiness than just the S-Word...but saying it seems to put off #AverageVoters... 🙂

👆 More leaning left ≠more socialists. There are many forms of 'left' and socialism is one of the most tried-and-failed. Some good, reusable ideas, yes; but the whole ideology, nah. Plus - it scares #AverageVoters* sh:tless.
[* NB: #Labour members are not #AverageVoters.]
Final result (from a #BirdSite poll) - No surprise here at all...just think for a minute about how electorally successful "Brand Socialism" has been over the past 100 years.
'#AverageVoters' seem to like left/centre-left *policies*, but are scared off by the '#S_Word'...👇
