@thegrapesunwrapped The producer listed is Lima & Smith for its Covela. That's a good start. I've liked Casa Santa Eulália a lot, A&D, Anselemo Mendes, among others

So, this is a bottle of Avesso from one of the best producers for it. In monovarietals, Vinho Verde boasts Alvarinho at the top, I think, although if you want to make a case for Loureiro, well, I love it too. Can Avesso compete?

Certainly, producers are treating it as the next big thing. There have always been some, but the question seems more like who isn't making one now. I have mixed feelings. The best of them, I've rather liked. Especially when they have a fine core of acidity.Those have certainly been well reviewed. Often, though, they seem to lack the personality of Alvarinho and Loureiro, boring by comparison.

What's the future? I'd like to see some with 10+ years of age. I haven't seen that yet.
