A sculpture outside of Art Castings in Loveland, Colorado depicts Bessica Medlar Raiche, an early aviatrix/dentist/doctor, holding Roxy. Roxy was a dog who was separated from her owner on the Long Island Railroad. The hard to swallow pill is that unless you are a networking vendor, the business only cares about the business its in, not about SDWAN or OSPF or BGP, or cloud design. The net engineers who will be successful are the ones that see the forest for the trees and focus on app experience.
The future is hybrid multicloud, on prem for static workloads, cloud for elastic/serverless.
