Lamb Hass #avocados are rarely identified as such at retail. Here they are described as "extra large Hass". These weighed in at 12.5 ounces apiece.

Timing. Since we harvested our Lamb Hass #avocados a month ago, both Mexico and Peru have struggled to ship the fruit they expected, driving prices up 50 cents /lb on large sizes. Will appreciate the few that are still on the trees.

Lots of daikon radish and mustard residue to build up the soil organic matter before planting #avocados. Both species of cover crop have deep taproots that should help water infiltration and retention.
