In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a story of 10 virgins. The warning He gave us was, they were all asleep. What does that mean?
The Lord has nothing against rest itself but, spiritual sleep is something we want to stay away from.
There is a positive and a negative to things in scripture and the spirit of slumber is not of God.
If we're sleeping spiritually, we aren't aware of what Jesus is doing. (Mat 24:42) states we must be alert and ready for the Lord's coming.
To stay spiritually awake, we must have eyes to see and ears to hear. To gain these, we must learn from the Apostles. They have the ability to train up others to stay spiritually awake, as they are the ones in the church woken up first by God.

Ya know, all the books, baskets, etc., that find a home in an easily accessible place. I did this because tomorrow...well, today now...that desk is getting turned around. I'd go ahead and do it, but would probably wake the place up and end up in traction. I think it's safe to say that today is going to be "take a nap Saturday" once this chore is done.
