❓Hey #awscommunity, are you experiencing long wait times for AMIs/snapshots as well. For me, it takes ~45 minutes for creating an EBS snapshot 86 GiB from a gp3 volume when creating an AMI with Packer.

HashiCorp adopting the Business Source License 1.1 is a nightmare. Building products based on Terraform is no longer a safe bet as the license says:

„You may make production use of the Licensed Work, provided such use does not include offering the Licensed Work to third parties on a hosted or embedded basis which is competitive with HashiCorp's products.“

But what if HashiCorp enters a new market tomorrow and you are now competing with their offering? 🤯

💡 When fetching large files from S3, it is important to do so in chunks. The maximum bandwidth when doing a single GetObject API call is limited. To improve performance, download multiple chunks in parallel (see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/whitepapers/latest/s3-optimizing-performance-best-practices/use-byte-range-fetches.html)
