Are you concerned about Meta's influence on the world?

Do you work for a tech company? #Unionize your company. Especially if you work for a big tech company (*cough* member of #AWU here *cough*), but even if you don't. This will give you much more of a seat and more power to push back against bad behavior here. #UnionStrong

Get data privacy laws and hold Meta accountable.

I should probably look into joining the #IWW. Last time I looked into it I wasn't eligible (due to the IWW's rules, not #AWU_CWA/ #AWU's, so not just a matter of bucking a bad rule on CWA's side or somesuch), but the disqualifying situation has not been true for a good bit now.

In a twist, my #AWU return window closed on the 20th. I have not run with my Garmin in almost a week. I plan on writing some in depth posts explaining what sold me.

Because I have a few weeks left in my return window I’m still testing the #awu and in an unexpected shift I haven’t used my Garmin Fenix 7x today. I’m not saying I’m keeping this watch yet but I discovered some features that might sway me. #running

Sleep tracking on the AWU is phenomenal and my takeaway is that the Garmin is crap in this area. I will just be removing it from my dashboard in Garmin Connect until they ever get it right. #AWU #running #garmin

Other reasons...
- I have to use multiple apps to visualize data. There is not one dashboard to aggregate all data.
- 3rd party apps sometimes report the data it reads from Apple Health in a different way which can lead to skewed interpretation of the data.
- I cannot use 3rd party apps to track running and also get V02max - that's only calculated with the stock app.
- I cannot easily have two way sync with TrainingPeaks.
- It adds no value to my life.

I decided that I am probably going to return the #AWU. Yes, it's more accurate in a lot of ways than the Garmin Fenix 7x but, I have it dumbed down to the basic features removing most of the smart watch components and will not use a lot of features because I do not need the added stress. For what I do, the Fenix does fine and that's run tracking. #AWU #running

I do prefer how Garmin presents the data. I have to jump between multiple apps with apple. Today I had to use the stock workout app on order to try and see what AWU gets for VO2 max. It will not calculate with any third party apps like WorkOutDoors. This might end up being the deal breaker for me even though the AWU seems more accurate.

A couple of nights comparing sleep tracking between the AWU and Garmin Fenix 7x solar. Vastly different! The Garmin always has awake times wrong and REM is usually laughable. Going by how I feel and when I know I was awake last night the AWU is way more accurate. The first night the Garmin quit tracking due to tattoos. Hrm. #awu #running

I did an easy 30 min run this morning using both devices. Garmin paired with the HRM-pro. AWU using just optical. The metrics were almost identical. Elevation a little diff but I think I have 3D enabled on Garmin. I have an 11 miler on Sunday so that will be a better test. I'm damn shocked & impressed. #AWU #running
