Got my Axe Con swag bag yesterday and love the Accessibility shirt that came with it. Always love Accessibility swag. Encourages people to potentially ask me questions.

Thank you @ben !
When I was in college, students liked to take a shortcut between two classroom buildings, across the college green. After years of foot traffic, the grass was worn away, forming a dirt path.
For years I wondered if there is a name for this phenomenon. Ben provided it in his #CSS talk at #AxeCon: a "cow path."
Once authorities realize that users prefer this path, and they make it official, it's called "paving the cow path" (something my college stubbornly refused to do).
ICYMI, #AxeCon was held this week, on Wed-Thu.
All the talks are now available to view on demand and free.
Some good speakers from the likes of Google and Microsoft, an interesting case study from the NDA in Ireland on how the're implementing the EU WAD, and a peek at WCAG 2.2 and 3.0 among them.
I cobbled together a rough transcript of my #AxeCon talk.

Missed out on most of #AxeCon today, but I did get to do my own accessibility presentation for work and they loved it. I'm so happy to be in a place where accessibility is not only accepted, but wanted
I couldn’t attend #axecon this year but am more than happy to help donate to NV Access in support of their event and this wonderful organization. Join me if you can!

The Ageism in Interfaces talk by alex Tait at #axecon yesterday covered such an important topic. As our populations get older, we need to start including older people in the design and research phase of our products
I don’t know who needs to read this, but there are two different links you can use for linking #AxeCon talks, and only one person in my timeline uses the right one.
