At least 15 years ago I headed up a committee for the Alberta Medical Association to #AxeTheFax , and we engaged a company called dr2dr.ca to provide a user friendly, secure, inexpensive, multi-feature messaging program. The initiative went nowhere. Docs were just not interested. dr2dr went ahead with it on their own and did well. I used it for all those years, really enjoyed it and found it extremely useful. There are alternatives to faxing that are far superior. Faxes are NOT secure.
