It's my boyfriend's birthday! We both had the day off and spent it lazy and in separate areas of the house. Now it's time to snuggle, order food for delivery and watch the last six episodes of Better Call Saul.

This was a revisit of a shot I did last Summer and posted last Fall. Played with the sliders a little bit to get it in line but didn't have to do too much. Feels a little bit like cheating but with day light savings time, I think I can use that as an excuse! Years ago instead of buying lots of stuff, we started doing things as a family — hotels in big cities, a trip, etc. This year that tradition got delayed, but Mrs. Ref, Kid Ref, her bf, and I are going axe throwing. Should be a good time. Update later.

I don’t know if whose idea it was to do the team building part of staff development for a bunch of people who usually work with small children at an axe throwing centre but I think I might love them. Plus the music they’re playing in here is awesome.

And because I always get everywhere early, I scored parking in the notoriously hard to find parking area known as Sydney, and am not happily chilling by myself waiting for the rest of my colleagues to arrive.

Will save the actual review for afterwards, but so far I am liking this a lot better than being stuck in a sports hall doing the normal corporate activities.

One thing I miss from my time in #Boston that we don't have here is #CandlepinBowling. I used to go to #Saccos in #Somerville all the time back in the early 90s. Next time you go to one of those #Polyamorous marriages the town just legalized, check it out!

Last month I got a notice that my overpayment debt was being waived. Last night I got my court date for the appeal about said debt. Freaked me out thinking I owed a ton of money. Brought back all the feelings about having been so badly treated by the company and community at large. It’s been a mess. I facebooked about it and got some conflicting responses and now I’m just too drained to focus. #axethrowing #unemployment #triggered

I start training for my new part time job as an #axethrowing instructor on Saturday. In between sessions I get free use of the axe throwing facilities.

I'd never thrown an axe before in my life a week go. I'm pretty jazzed about this.

There's also a possibility of a Monday to Friday cloud support role. DevOps and Linux training for the first 2 months and then 40 hours doing that, throwing axes on weekends. I might become a coder yet!
