Wir sitzen in einem #LNER #Azuma von Gleneagles nach London Kings X. Die Anzeige, ob ein Sitz mit Reservierung mit einer möglichen Reservierung oder frei ist, ist hier sehr einfach zu erkennen:
Rot = reserviert
Orange = möglicherweise reserviert (wenn am selben Tag reserviert)
Grün = frei

Ich finde dies deutlicher erkenbar als in den ICE!

Schlecht bei der kostenlosen Online-Reservierung finde ich, dass man nicht erkennen kann, ob der Platz mit Fenster oder mit Wand ist! 😒

Every time I’m on the newer #Azuma #LNER trains in 1st class (not that often!) I’m frustrated by the seats. It’s like being back at school -fixed desks. Awful if you’re not young thin & bendy. Can’t reach the rack over seats (I’m 5ft5) without back strain & have to twist to actually get into a duo seat #badDesign #firstWorldProblems #newIsNotAlwaysBetter

Fog on the line: I love peeking over a bridge to see if there’s a train coming. It reminds me of being a kid.

My favourites are the long, clanking freight trains or one of these: a 10-coach LNER Azuma powering its way north to Scotland.

As it passes through Heaton (pictured), it will have just left Newcastle Central Station and will likely have journeyed all the way from London Kings Cross.

All the better when it’s blasting through some weather!
