Freigesetzter Eisberg mehrt Sorgen vor #Gletscherkollaps
Kurz nach der Jahrtausendwende im März 2002 brach der #Eisberg #B22A von der Spitze des #Thwaites-Gletschers in der #Westantarktis ab und hing am Untergrund fest und wirkte damit wie eine stabilisierende Barriere auf das dahinter liegende Meer- und #Schelfeis. Doch das änderte sich offensichtlich in den letzten Monaten.
Das könnte nun Folgen für die gesamte Region haben...
