Developers/Engineers/people who code locally but have deployed services running in th cloud, what's the best setups you've worked with? What unlocked productivity and happiness?
We're in a world of "multiple services" (10s not 100s), some of which are pretty monolithic, not versioned in a monorepo.

I would never have guessed, that the frontend for the filter and sorting of @questlog stuff would take the most time. Back in the day I would blaze through that and struggle with the backend. Now it's the other way around.

I love still love frontend and consider me as a full stack developer with heavy focus on frontend. But backend is so much more frictionless if you know what you've to do.

You have a need, you have a solution. Done.
In frontend you have a need and there are hundreds of ways to tackle this. I don't talk about frameworks and stuff. That's not the problem. Especially in terms of CSS. I mean: Just use CSS. It has everything already that every framework has. Only faster and it's more powerful.

But I have to think about UI, UX, responsiveness, multiple different states, accessibility. Except the different states nothing of this is relevant in backend.

So I made the backend in pretty much one hour or so. But I fiddle with UX and UI for multiple hours now. Big part is, that I've never before built a complex filtered listing. Another part is, I don't think in Alpha anymore because the user count. I should probably switch to beta one the filters are implemented?

I don't know. Just wanted to talk a bit about coding stuff. 😁
