211 followers · 478 posts · Server mas.toThe slide wasn't very deep. The crown is maybe a foot tall, but it ran a good long way and it wouldn't have been a fun ride.
While the rest of the slope was stable, this spot was pretty clearly ready to go because of wind loading coming over the top. I'm grateful for my friend's spidey-sense that we were in a risky spot, and grateful for good terrain choices on our skin track up. The slide came close, but never ran over our track.

211 followers · 475 posts · Server mas.toWe did one lower run (not super skiing, breakable crust 🤮) and then three of us decided to head up further and climb one of the peaks since the skiing wasn’t great.
As we hopped up on the shoulder, my friend who was cutting trail had a funny feeling and asked us to hang back a minute while he crossed under a slightly steeper slope.
