"The government has written off £8.7bn it spent on protective equipment bought during the pandemic, accounts show.

The Department for Health and Social Care documents show items costing £673m were unusable, while £750m of equipment was not used before its expiry date.

The largest write-off - £4.7bn - was because the government paid more for it than it is currently worth, now that global supplies have recovered."

It will be interesting to see who has profited and who they are connected to!

"The government dresses it up thus: “Any name change must represent a step change for AONB teams with the ambitious new title encompassing new purposes delivered by skilled teams, sustainable funding and robust governance.” And there you have it writ large - “step change”, “robust governance”. Absolute twaddle and the meddlesome work of brand managers and graphic designers almost certainly hired at outrageous cost to deliver... well, what exactly? Sweet sod all. It sounds like something from the Soviet Union."

Word salad and waist are rampant in all aspects of government.
Use understandable English and stop wasting money!

Seventeen ScotWind projects, with a combined potential generating capacity of 25GW, have been offered new rights to specific areas of the seabed for the development of offshore wind power.

'Potential generating capacity' was this calculated on the best-case scenario?
How much energy will it take to build transport and maintain them?
How often will they produce reliably the 'potential' output without putting the rest of the grid in danger of damage?
What subsidies will they receive, who will profit from them, and how much will that add to your electric bill?
