Great write-up of today’s proceedings in the RCJ on the #Dartmoor #BackpackCamping appeal. I watched on YouTube, though mostly on catch-up. An intriguing insight into our judiciary system!

Some interesting debate on what ‘open-air recreation’ means & some real gems such as “sleeping overnight on the commons is not recreation, open-air or otherwise, because you are just asleep”.

There was also something about rolling down a hill in a barrel, which totally lost me.

Great news…the court of appeal has granted leave to the Open Spaces Society to intervene in the #Dartmoor backpack-camping case, in support of the #DartmoorNationalPark Authority.
