Living for over 30 years of my life in the big city and capital of the state, to now moving way out in the boondocks with my woman has been a dramatic culture shock. Stores aren't open 24 hours 'round these parts, the only exception being the odd gas station that's an extra 15 - 20 miles down the road. It has brought to light the damage that city living does to the psyche and the healing is taking longer than expected.

This is from the Hocking Hills State Park. My girlfriend was nice enough to sit on that freezing rock! Portraits are not my forte. The shadows and lack of equipment made for a little bit of blur. I did an HDR shot as well combining two shots to try to prevent blowouts. No one practiced what they preached (honestly, how could they? It was a #cult!) #Spiritual #nonsense aside, there were #landlords letting their fellow parishioners live in #squalor in the homes they #owned and #rented, and the landlords were the #holy ones, because they were in a better tax bracket. #bullshit.
