The hives were very happy today during inspection.

Lots of brood, even in my swarm hive that just re-queened, lots of honey, and fresh white comb being built out.

Had to add second supers to the hives when I added the extended release oxalic acid strips.

Then I stayed to watch them and take a couple videos of them busily heading off to parts unknown and return with supplies for their community.

Our fresh nucs are going like gangbusters. They’re a week in and have already filled their first boxes and are building burr comb everywhere.

Gave them another box of already drawn comb to give them some room to expand.

My six year old and I got our nucs installed in their hives today. Feeding some 1:1 and pollen patties. Hopefully we get a nice start to the year and build up some strong colonies.
